Read: Colossians 3:12-17
Key verse: “But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.” (Col 3:14, NKJV)
Paul calls believers chosen, holy and beloved. Therefore: put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, and forgive one another as Christ forgave you (verses 12-13). Above all comes love, which holds everything together (verse 14).
That love asks for forgiveness and is more than a feeling. Paul goes on to the peace of Christ, which is to rule in our hearts. To that we were called, as members of one body (verse 15).
Reflect: Whom do you need to forgive this week, or ask forgiveness from?
Prayer: Lord, You have forgiven me everything. Make me free to pass that on to those who owe me something. Amen.
